White Stop Bead – No Mesh (6mm) are used for external render systems. The stop bead is made from uPVC which is non corrosive, and will stand the test of time.

Stop beads are installed at the edges of plastered surfaces where they meet a different material, such as a door frame, window frame, or ceiling. They create a straight, crisp edge and protect the plaster from chipping or cracking.

In addition to providing a neat finish, stop beads also allow for movement in the building materials. Buildings expand and contract due to temperature changes, moisture, and settling. Stop beads provide a flexible joint between the plaster and the adjacent materials, allowing them to move independently without cracking the plaster.

The beads come in 2.5m lengths, and are designed to be embedded within 6mm of render / basecoat.
